One of the many advantages of living near the Cowley Road is the choice of takeaways on offer, and for the last two years I have been on a personal crusade to find the best in the area.
Jaipur is a small restaurant that also offers a takeaway service, which I must add is one of the best I’ve discovered. During the snowy January and December of 2010, Oxford came to a standstill – yet Jaipur still managed to deliver – literally going the extra (snowy) mile.
However, this is all well and good, but if the food doesn’t hit the mark, then no amount of customer service makes up for it – but Jaipur scores well here too. I’ve been on a personal quest to find a good Garlic Chicken Curry and Jaipur’s efforts deserve praise all round. Coupled with this, the Mushroom Pilau and Garlic Naan were also just right meaning my hunger was satisfied.
Finally, in terms of value for money, they cannot be faulted here either, with two mains, rices, two Naans and Poppadoms all coming to around £22 – value for money I think you’ll agree.
Next time your considering a take-away in Oxford, give Jaipur a try, you won’t be disappointed!
