Fratellis Pizzeria is based at the Cowley end of the Cowley Road, just opposite the City Arms, and visitors would be forgiven for thinking they had stepped into a little corner of Italy when visiting with here, with the quirky decor and lodge like feel inviting customers in.
This charming restaurant is famous for its Pizza, so we felt compelled to indulge in one of the many offerings on the menu. However, before doing so was the small matter of choosing a starter and we opted for the Calamari, which is cooked from fresh. Our order arrived within ten minutes and was fresh, tasty and ready to roll.
Then came the pizza choice, where you are presented lots of different options and three choices of base. We went for the ‘Carne’ pizza on the White base which was perfectly cooked and just what we hoped for.
This was all washed down with a cold bottle of Moretti beer making for a fantastic meal in a restaurant that is alive with character and charm – a must visit for any Cowley Road eaters.
